Template draft, not legal advice. This document is a structural starting point — your legal counsel should review and localise it before launch. Items in [BRACKETS] must be replaced with real values.

The spirit of this policy

Tarea only works if people can trust each other. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone — Clients, Pros, visitors — and covers everything you do on or through the Platform, including messages, listings, reviews, profiles, and API calls.

Breaking these rules is grounds for content removal, warnings, account suspension, or termination, and in serious cases we may report it to authorities.

1. No illegal activity

Don’t use Tarea for anything illegal where you live, where the service happens, or where Tarea operates. That includes offering unlicensed services when a licence is required, handling stolen goods, selling restricted substances, or enabling someone else to do any of those.

2. No fraud or deception

  • Don’t misrepresent who you are, what you’re qualified to do, or what a service includes.
  • Don’t advertise a price and then demand more once someone has committed.
  • Don’t fabricate reviews, trade reviews, or pressure Clients into positive reviews.
  • Don’t initiate chargebacks for services you’ve actually received.
  • Don’t use the Platform to run a pyramid scheme, MLM recruitment funnel, or any other deceptive commercial scheme.

3. No abuse, harassment, or harm

  • No threats, intimidation, stalking, or harassment of any user.
  • No hate speech or content that targets people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar characteristics.
  • No sexual content, sexually suggestive solicitation, or content that sexualises minors — ever.
  • No content that promotes or glorifies violence or self-harm.
  • No sharing another person’s private information without their consent (“doxxing”).

4. No impersonation

Don’t pretend to be someone else — another Pro, a Client, an Island Pro team member, a government official. Don’t create accounts on behalf of people without their permission. Don’t use Tarea branding in your listings, messages, or marketing in a way that suggests Tarea endorses you.

5. No spam or broadcast abuse

  • Don’t send unsolicited bulk messages to users you don’t already have a booking relationship with.
  • Don’t use the messaging tool to push people off-platform before you’ve completed a booking with them at least once.
  • Don’t automate messaging, posting, or profile actions without our written permission.
  • Don’t post the same listing dozens of times to game search.

6. No scraping or platform abuse

  • Don’t scrape, index, or otherwise extract data from Tarea at scale without a written agreement from us.
  • Don’t probe, penetration-test, or try to bypass any security control. Report vulnerabilities responsibly to security@gettarea.com.
  • Don’t interfere with the Platform — load attacks, abusive API patterns, cache-busting schemes, anything that degrades the service for other users.
  • Don’t reverse-engineer, de-compile, or copy the Platform except as permitted by mandatory law.

7. Restricted & prohibited services

Some service categories are not allowed on Tarea at all. Others require a valid licence we can verify. A non-exhaustive list:

Never allowed

  • Escort, sexual, or adult services of any kind.
  • Weapons, explosives, or ammunition.
  • Illegal drugs, or legal substances sold in a way that circumvents local law.
  • Services aimed at helping someone evade tax, immigration, or financial-crime law.
  • Medical treatment that requires a licence the provider doesn’t have.
  • Anything targeting or exploiting minors.

Allowed only with valid licence / credentials

  • Regulated trades (electrical, plumbing, gas fitting, construction).
  • Healthcare, therapy, psychology, nutrition counselling.
  • Legal, tax, and financial advisory services.
  • Childcare, tutoring of minors, and any service involving minors.
  • Food preparation for sale, where local food-safety rules apply.

We may ask for proof of credentials at any time. If you can’t provide it, your listing will be removed.

8. Reporting violations

If you see something that breaks this AUP — a listing, a profile, a message, a review — please report it. Every page has a “Report” option, or email trust@gettarea.com. For urgent safety issues, also contact local emergency services.

9. How we enforce

We take a graduated approach: for minor first offences, a warning and content removal; for repeated or serious violations, suspension or permanent removal. For anything involving imminent harm, illegal services, or fraud, we may act immediately and without notice, and may report the matter to law enforcement.

Decisions are made by our Trust & Safety team in good faith based on the information available. We’re not obliged to explain every action, but we’ll tell you enough to know what rule was broken and how to appeal where an appeal is appropriate.
